Rafael Edward Ted Cruz is a Politician of United States of America. He is the Junior United States Senator of Texas. Cruz is a candidate in 2016 election for the Republican nomination for President of US. His win in Lowa Caucuses in February 2016 records that for the first time a Hispanic person achieved a Presidential caucus.
Early Life and Education
On December 22, 1970, Ted Cruz was born at Foothills General Hospital in Canada. Cruz’s parents Eleanor Elizabeth (Darragh) Wilson and Rafael Bienvenido Cruz were residing in Calgary, at the time of his birth. They were owners of a seismic-data processing firm for oil drilling.
Cruz went to two private high schools. Faith West Academy in Texas and Second Baptist High School in Houston. From where, he passed as valedictorian in 1988. He learned Economics, by joining in a Houston based group. It was known as Free Market Education Foundation at that time. This curriculum was about the philosophies of Economists.
In 1992 Cruz graduated from Princeton University. He participated in American-Whig Cliosophic Society’s debate panel. Cruz was awarded as the top speaker at US National Debating Championship and North American Debating Championship in the same year. In 1995 he did his graduation from Harvard Law School. Cruz was the director of the office of policy planning at the Federal Trade Commission, within 1999 and 2003. At that time, he was serving as an associate deputy attorney general at the United States Department of Justice. He was the domestic policy advisor to George W. Bush, President of US on the 2000 George W. Bush Presidential Campaign.
In 1995, Ted Cruz offered his service of a law clerk to J. Michael Luttig of the United States of Courts of Appeals for the Fourth Circuits. From 1997 to 1998 he was worked with Cooper, Carvin and Rosenethal, after finishing his clerkship. Cruz was the domestic policy adviser to George W. Bush, the then Governor regarding policy and legal matters, Constitutional Law, Government Reforms and so on. Ted Cruz was appointed as the Solicitor General of Texas, during 2003 to 2008. Along with 70 U.S. Supreme Court briefs, Cruz also offered 43 oral arguments. It includes nine arguments in front of the US Supreme Court. According to American Lawyer Magazine, Ted Cruz is one of the best 50 litigators.
In 2008, Cruz started to work in a private firm in Houston. He was dealing with corporate clients at that time.

Though he was born in Canada, his parents are from US. He was in Calgary for 3 years with his parents, before they shifted to Texas. So, by virtue of his parents, though he is an American citizen, one cannot call him a natural-born citizen. There was considerable criticism regarding his filing for the US Presidential Election because he was not a natural born citizen. Cruz said that he ceased being a Canadian citizen, having renounced it on May 14, 2014.
In February 2016, the Illinois Board of Elections gave out a ruling in Cruz’s favor declaring, ” The candidate is a natural born citizen by virtue of being born in Canada to his mother who was a U.S. citizen at the time of his birth.”

In 2000, at the time of giving service to George W. Bush Presidential Campaign, he met Heidi Neilson. In 2001, Ted Cruz tied the knot with her. They are blessed with two daughters. Caroline and Catherine. Heidi was an investment banker in New York earlier. She worked in the White House also.

He opposes same sex marriages. He is against abortion and states that he will allow it only when the pregnancy is a threat to the mother’s life. He opposes net neutrality, opposes legalization of marijuana and supports gun-rights. He favors death penalty.
On an economical front, Ted Cruz advocates free-trade, wants to do away with IRS and wants to implement a flat tax mode. Ted Cruz has opposed ‘Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action’ an international nuclear agreement with Iran by the US and other powerful nations of the world. He has categorically stated the American defence forces should not serve as air-forces for Al Qaeeda.
According to the National Enquirer Reports, the 1.73 tall Ted Cruz is involved in extra marital affair with five different women. But he denied the charge stating it as “garbage”. He denied the charge.
