Forbes reports that 2015 has seen an astonishing 1,826 billionaires with total net worth of $7.05 trillion, higher than $6.4 a year ago. Here is the country-wise distinction of billionaires –
- US leads the list of the largest number of billionaires in the world with a figure of 536. The city of California along springs up 131 billionaires, which is higher than any other country, besides the USA and China.
- China comes second with 213 billionaires. The country also leads in the most newcomer billionaires (71) from a world list of 290
- Germany with 103 billionaires
- India with 90
- Russia with 88
Interestingly, Asia Pacific as a continent has given the world 562 billionaires, followed by North America with 536 and Europe offering 482 wealthiest people
