There are three women in Sean Payton’s life: his first wife Beth Shuey, his current wife Skylene Montgomery, and the daughter he had with Beth Shuey.

From Beth Shuey, Payton has two children. The couple’s first child Meghan was born in 1997,  and in 2002, the second child Connor was born.

After meeting at Indiana State University, where Sean was a coach, Sean and Beth got married in 1992. It wasn’t until 2014, following a two-year absence from each other, that they divorced.

On November 10, 2019, during the Saints vs. Falcons game, Payton’s engagement to girlfriend Skylene Montgomery was announced.

They married in a private ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on June 18, 2021. An ex-basketball player and coach, Avery Johnson, presided over the ceremony.

Skylene, a 37-year-old nurse in Parkersburg, West Virginia, has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from West Virginia University.

After competing in several beauty pageants when she was younger, her popularity has since faded.When the Saints were playing the Panthers in an NFL game, Sean and Skylene ran into each other.

They gave Skylene Sean’s phone number instead of a friend’s when she asked for tickets.
Prior to a full-fledged relationship, the pair communicated, met, and met again.

It was in June 2021, a year and a half after they were engaged in November 2019, that they married in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

In 2009, Sean Payton led the New Orleans Saints to a Super Bowl victory.
At Naperville Central High School and Eastern Illinois University, Payton was a quarterback, then played for the Chicago Bears in 1987 and the Leicester Panthers in 1988, respectively.

Before becoming the Saints’ 10th full-time coach in 2006, Payton began his coaching career at San Diego State University as an offensive coordinator.
In his first 100 NFL games, he scored 2,804 points and gained 40,158 yards, making him one of the most prolific offensive players in the league.

When the Saints finished 3-13 in 2005, Payton took over as head coach and led the team to the NFC Championship Game in 2006.

Payton was named AP NFL Coach of the Year because of his efforts.
In 2009, the Saints defeated the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

As head coach of the Saints for 16 years, Sean Payton is the franchise’s all-time winningest coach after leading them to three NFC Championship games (2006, 2009, and 2018), a trip to Super Bowl XLIV, nine trips to the playoffs, and seven division titles.

As a result of his suspected involvement in the New Orleans Saints bounty scandal, where “bounties” were allegedly paid for attempting to damage opposing players, Payton was banned from the NFL for the entire 2012 season in April 2012.

Payton’s appeal was denied, and he was placed on administrative leave until January of the next year after that.

After Bill Belichick of the New England Patriots, Sean Payton was the NFL’s longest-tenured head coach.
